Rome and the Amalfi Coast: 15 nights
Arrive in Rome
We start and end this memorable holiday in Rome. So much to see and do in this ancient city: the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, the Vatican and the Vatican Museum, Galleria Borghese, the Spanish Steps, the catacombs, the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain and so much more. Pace yourself, taking in the sights, smells and flavours of Rome. Possible daytrips include Viterbo, Orvieto or Ostia Antica.

Catch the train to the Amalfi Coast
It's hard to decide where to stay on the Amalfi Coast ... Sorrento, Amalfi or Positano? See where you want to spend your time and make your decision accordingly. Regardless of where you stay, there's a lot to do on this tranquil coast ... wandering the Isle of Capri (take the funicular to the town of Anacapri high above), bobbing inside the Blue Grotto, a daytrip out to spectacular Pompei or taking a boat trip around the coast (or a car trip for some hair-raising turns).

Catch the train back to Rome
I hope you saved something for Rome, because you have a few more days here. Explore another church, marvel at more exquisite art, wander the backstreets of Trastevere, discover more authentic Roman cuisine, or be amazed by the architecture of ancient, Baroque and Fascist Rome as you learn more about this city and its culture. But all good things must come to an end. The airport awaits, and your flight home.
